Now you’re ready to build a newsletter directly within your browser window!
Once you've successfully downloaded the Nota Chrome Browser extension, you can follow these easy steps to build your newsletter via the extension.
Step 1:
Navigate to a webpage of the published article you’d like to include in your newsletter.
Step 2:
Click the Nota browser extension icon on your toolbar (pictured below).
Step 3:
You'll be presented with six options to get started. Click on LETTER (pictured below).
Step 4:
Add your "Project name." Then, choose your global "Writing tone" and "Summary length" (pictured below).
NOTE: You can also change/update all of these options while editing your LETTER within the dashboard.
Once you've added a "Project name," click "Create LETTER" (pictured below).
Step 5:
Nota will pull in images from the article. If you’d like to include an image in the newsletter you are creating, select a photo and click the “Save Article” button (pictured below).
You will receive a "Successfully saved!" message once you're added the article (pictured below).
Step 6:
Repeat this process for all of the articles you want to include in your newsletter. Once you’ve saved all the desired articles, you have a few additional options within the browser extension.
- Re-order, edit and delete articles: Click the green hyperlinked text “Saved articles # of 10” at the top of the extension to re-order your articles in LETTER (pictured below).
- Edit and remove articles: If you click on the three dots icon on the right side of the article, it will give you the option to edit or delete the article from your newsletter project. If you select “Edit” it will return to the screen that allows you to select/change the image you want to include from the article. If you select “Delete” it will remove the article from the newsletter project (pictured below).
Step 7:
Once you have all of the articles you want to include in your newsletter coupled with the appropriate images, click on the “Go to Letter” button at the bottom of the browser extension (pictured below). The LETTER tool within the Nota dashboard will open and take you directly to the edit screen for this newsletter project. From there, you can finish editing and export your newsletter.
Step 8:
When you’re ready to create a brand new newsletter leveraging the browser extension, simply click the “Clear saved links and start over.” hyperlink within the browser extension (pictured below).
