Our Kang release is all about expanding the options for output casing and bringing settings for brands to the dashboard and Chrome extension for all tools. Get full details and instructions here.
BRIEF:
- Within Brand Preferences, users can now set a global setting for LETTER and SUM Headline and Page Title Case (we’ve also added Capitalized Case as an option)
- If you work with multiple brands (for different publications or logo variations), you can now set your desired brand at the dashboard level
- Our browser extension now allows you to select the brand option for each tool within the extension
- The WordPress plugin now allows you to set your desired Headline and Page Title Casing within the Nota Settings
Editing your Brand Preferences - add more customization to your Output Settings!
We’ve now made it even easier to set your Output Settings for Headline length, Headline casing, and Page Title Casing at the Brand level. Long gone are the days where you have to click the diamond icon to toggle between preferred casing style anymore!
To get started, click on the “Settings” icon and then click on “Brands.” From there, you can either “ADD BRAND” in the top-right corner or “Edit” an existing brand to find the new customization tools. Once you are in your brand settings, click the “Brand Preferences” tab.
You will now notice that you have the ability to set the desired Headline Case Style for LETTER outputs, and the desired Headline and Page Title Case for SUM outputs. See below:
The default Casing style for each output is set to “Sentence case,” but if you click the dropdown you have the option to select between Sentence Case, Title Case, and Capitalized Case for your LETTER Headline and SUM Headline + Page Title outputs. See below:
After selecting the desired case for each of these tool’s outputs, simply click the “SAVE” button in the top right corner of the screen to save your settings. Now all brand preferences will apply to these outputs you generate moving forward. We will continue to add additional customization options for output settings in future releases.
Set your brand at the global level for all tools within the dashboard!
To ensure publications that have multiple brands (for different publications or various logo usage), we’ve added the ability to select and search the desired brand you want outputs aligned to on the dashboard at a global level.
Now when you log into the dashboard, you will see your global brand displayed within a dropdown in the top left hand corner of the screen. See below:
If your organization is working with multiple brands, you will be able to click the dropdown to select any additional brand you may have set up within your account. You will also have the ability to search for a brand within the drop down as well. See below:
Our Chrome Browser Extension now allows you to set your brand preference within any tool you leverage! Simply select the tool you’d like to use for the article you’re on, and you’ll notice a brand dropdown/selector within each tool. See below:

Any Brand Preferences you set for Brand Styles (Logo, HEX colors, Typeface) and Brand Preferences (Output Settings, Trusted Media Hosts, and AI Content Policy) will flow through to your Browser Extension outputs.
Minor VID + IMAGE Updates - The default will now be to leverage your article images over auto generating AI images.
Our original approach to VID and IMAGE projects was to automatically supplement your article images with AI generated images if you didn’t have enough photos from your article to fill all of the VID and/or image slots based on your initial Output Settings. Now, we will default to creating VID and IMAGE projects only using your article photos, and if there aren’t enough images, we will keep those slides blank (you will need to click the image icon on the edit screen to add desired images to your project).
If you still want Nota to create AI images at the onset of a project to supplement your article images, you will have to toggle the “Generate Images with AI” option on. See below:

You are provided with the following 3 options: Sentence Case, Title Case, Capitalized Case. See below:

That’s all for this release. Stay tuned for future updates!
