Nebula Product Release Notes - 4.9.24

Our Nebula release is putting the power of access control in your hands. You can now invite and manage users on Nota’s platform via our new Organizational Admin dashboard in Settings.

BRIEF:

  • We have created a new role, Organization Admin, that allows you to invite, activate, and deactivate members of your organization
  • Gone are the days where you have to email Nota to gain access to the Nota tool suite
  • We’ve also made minor tweaks to SUM (added Tags) and SOCIAL (Enable Emoji toggle)

Inviting new users to the platform is easier than ever via the Admin Dashboard

The team at Nota will work with each Point of Contact at your organization to determine the appropriate individual(s) to provide organization admin privileges. An organization admin will have the ability to invite new members to the Nota platform, cancel invitations, and deactivate/activate existing members.

As an Organization Admin, navigate to Settings > Organizations > [Organization Name].

This will open the Organization Admin dashboard. On this screen you will see two tabs, one for Members, and one for Invited Members.

On the Members tab, you will have the capability to search for a member via the member search bar. You can also see all of the members currently assigned to your organization, and their respective status.

Activating and Deactivating Members

If you want to Activate or Deactivate an existing member, simply click on the 3 dot icon under the Actions header next to the members name, and select the desired action.

If a member has an Inactive status, the only option you will be able to select is “Activate.” If a member has an Active status, the only option you will be able to select is “Deactive.”

When you make a selection on Activate or Deactivate, the following message will appear to confirm your choice:

Inviting Members

On the Invited Members tab, you will have the capability to search for a member via the member search bar. You can also see all of the members who have an open invitation to Nota, and that invitation’s respective status.

To invite a new member to your organization, simply click the + Invite Member button, and the screen below will appear:

You will notice that you have the capability to invite multiple members at the same time, and you can also include a welcome message for the individuals you invite to the Nota tool set. When you are done adding members to the invite and you have populated the message field with your desired note, click the OK button. You should see a confirmation message pop up in the bottom left corner of the screen indicating that your invitations were successfully delivered.

Once you have invited a user, their status will show as Pending until they accept the invite in the email that was sent to them.

If for some reason you decide to cancel to invitation you sent to any of the newly invited members, simply click the 3 dot icon in the Action column to Cancel the invitation.

When you make the selection on Cancel invitation, the following message will appear to confirm your choice:

After clicking YES, the member’s invitation status will change from Pending to Canceled. If at some point in the future you wanted to resend an invitation to that user, you will need to re-invite them by clicking the + Invite Member button again.

If a member you have invited remains in the Pending status and you’d like to resend the invitation, simply click the three dot icon in the Actions column and select Resend invitation

When you make the selection on Resend invitation, the following message will appear to confirm your choice:

If you click on YES, the user will receive the invitation to accept the invitation to the Nota tool suite again.

Invitation Email

Users who receive an invitation to the Nota tool suite will receive the below invitation:

Dashboard Tools - SUM Update: Tags

You will now see a new output with the SUM tool in our dashboard. Now when you GENERATE a SUM, a new section will appear on the Summary tab under the Pull Quotes section for Tags. Tags are the proper nouns that are mentioned in the article listed in order of relevance based on the depth of color. See below:

Similar to Keywords on the SEO tab, Tags can be copied individually by clicking the copy icon on the right side of the tag, or as a group by clicking the copy all icon in alignment with the Tags heading.

Dashboard Tools - SOCIAL Update: Exclude Emojis Toggle

In a previous release, we launched Social Style, which allows users to choose between a “News” output and a “Promotional” output. The News output already excludes emojis, but if you’d like to leverage the Promotional style and you want the social copy to be emoji-free, simply shift the toggle on the SOCIAL input screen on the dashboard to “Exclude Emojis” (see below).

That’s all for this release. We’ve got a lot of really amazing features on the way over the next few releases, including Tone Builder, a relaunch of our VID tool, and more organization admin capabilities for sharing settings. Stay tuned for future updates!
