Syzygy Release BRIEF:

  • Keyword Insights will now display in both the dashboard and Wordpress/Newspack for enhanced organic search results

  • We will now display a banner within our dashboard to alert you a new release has launched so you never miss another product/feature update

Keyword Insights

Our partners have achieved remarkable success using our SEO outputs, but we are constantly striving for improvement. That's why we have introduced a new feature in both our dashboard and WordPress/Newspack plug-in called Keyword Insights.

Keyword Insights are meant to expose related keywords you can think about leveraging to ensure maximum organic discovery for your article content. The top 5 keywords we provide will show up in a chart with related keywords ranked in order of search volume. You will notice there is a trending icon next to some of the Related Keywords, meaning that keyword has been trending over the last 30 days.

To access the new Related Keywords functionality with the Dashboard:

  • Navigate to SUM via the left rail or dashboard homepage tile
  • Upload your file, paste your copy, or insert your hyperlink and click Generate
  • Navigate to the SEO tab of SUM
  • At the bottom of the SEO tab you will now see Keyword Insights under Keywords

To access the new Keyword Insights functionality within WordPress/Newspack:

  1. Create a  new post
  2. Type/Paste your draft article text into the WordPress/Newspack editing screen
  3. Navigate to the bottom of the draft post and click “Analyze page” button
  4. Navigate to the SEO tab
  5. At the bottom of the SEO tab you will now see Top Keywords under Keywords

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this new feature, so drop us a line and provide us with feedback so we can continue to improve the platform to benefit you!

Custom Fonts

You now have the ability to upload a custom font within Nota. We currently support the woff2 file types (if your font is in TTF, OTF, SVG, EOT, or CSS, there are converters to WOFF2).

You can now make your visual projects within IMAGE and VID more aligned with your organization’s brand preferences.

To upload a Custom Font:

  • Click the Settings Icon in the lower left corner of the Nota dashboard
  • Click Workspace Settings
  • Click the Brands tab
  • Select the Brand you’d like to upload a custom font for
  • You will now see a Custom Fonts section under Colors
  • Click the Upload Font link

  • Name the font and add the relevant files
  • When completed, your font will display in the Custom Fonts section

  • You can click the 3 dot icon next to the Font name to Edit the files required to import the different variations of the font
  • The font(s) you upload will now be available for use in your IMAGE and VID projects going forward

Nota Tools Browser Extension

You may have noticed that the browser extension has a new look! In order to improve the browser extension experience for users, we updated the new extension with a “less is more” approach.  All of our tools are still easy to access via the browser extension, but we’ve removed most of the optionality that once lived in the extension to optimize for bringing you back into the dashboard for ease of use.  Below is the new look:

Release Updates will now be exposed within the Nota Dashboard

We’ve heard from some of you that our release emails, slack messages, etc. can get lost in the shuffle. So now we will ensure you’re aware of all of our latest product release updates directly within the Nota dashboard. Going forward, when we go live with a new release in production, we will display a banner ad to inform you a new release is live, and point you to the release note so you can learn more about everything included in the release. We hope this improves your retention of new features and ensures you never miss a beat. An example of what this will look like going forward is below:

This banner will stay at the top of your browser until you click the X in the top right corner.

Coming Soon…VID Pro Launch!

We are in the final phase of testing, user guide development, and help text for VID Pro. We can’t wait to get you the new version in one of our upcoming releases!

That’s all for this release. Stay tuned for future updates!

The Nota Team
