Learn how to easily migrate and activate the Nota plugin for WordPress and Newspack CMS users.

Step 1:
Log into your WordPress administrative site.
Step 2:
Click the "Plugins" → "Installed Plugins" link from the primary navigation.
Step 3:
Locate the "Nota Tools" plugin from the installed plugins list and "Deactivate" and then "Delete" the plugin.
Step 4:
Click "Plugins" → "Add New" from the primary navigation.
Step 5:
Locate the Nota AI tools plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory, which you can find by clicking here or by searching directly for "Nota AI tools" (pictured below).
Step 6:
Select the Install Now option and Activate from the Nota AI Tools plugin card.
Step 7:
Browse to Settings → "Nota tools" from WordPress primary navigation and verify that your settings are correct. Make sure the "API key" and "API URL" fields have been updated. Then, add 30 in the "Request timeout in seconds" field. Click "Save."
Step 7A (if necessary):
If the fields above have not been updated, log into the Nota tools site and browse to "Settings → API Integration" (https://www.heynota.com/tools/account/api).
Step 7B (if necessary):
From the API integration page click the "Enable Integration" button. This step will generate two keys, either of which may be used for the plugin. Copy one of the keys to your clipboard.
Step 7C (if necessary):
Returning to the WordPress site, navigate to select "Settings → Nota tools" to view the Nota plugin settings.
Enter the API key from Step 7B into the "API key" field and "https://api.heynota.com" into the "API URL" field. Then, add 30 in the "Request timeout in seconds" field. Click "Save."
Step: 8:
The plugin is now ready for use! Browse to a post and select the "Analyze Page" option from the new "Nota Tools" section in the editor.
